WPDRF Will Produce Short Films On The Social Subjects

World Peace Development and Research Foundation of Asian Society of Film And Television will soon have its productions of short films on the social issues. The Foundation has tied up with Marwah Films And Video Production to produce short films.

“Films are the biggest and the largest way to inform masses and the impact of the same is also very powerful. We have decided to produce films on the social subjects so that many people can understand the motive of World Peace Foundation” said Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

Some of the films have already in the pipeline and shall be complete by a month or so. The same will be distributed soon to the right places.

Dr Daman Prakash, Consultant of IFFCO Foundation and former Director of ICA Regional Office for Asia-Pacific now on the advisory board of World Peace Development and Research Foundation of Asian Society of Film And Television, India, informed Sandeep Marwah President of the foundation.

“It is now increasingly recognized that the co-operative system in India has the capacity and potentiality to neutralize the adverse effects emerging from the process of globalization. After economic liberalization under the new economic environment, co-operatives at all levels are making efforts to reorient their functions according to the market demands” said Dr. Daman Parkash while accepting the membership of International Film And Television Club.

“The failure of the public sector in several cases is a worrisome trend. Privatization has also failed to make an impact in the rural areas. Therefore there is great hope on the co-operative sector’ added Dr.Daman Prakash

International Year Of Cooperatives

WPDRF Establishes Its Office During International Cooperative Year

World Peace Development and Research Foundation of Asian Society of Film And Television has established its international head quarters at Noida during the International Year Of Cooperative stated Sandeep Marwah President of WPDRF.

The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2012 as the International Year of Cooperatives, highlighting the contribution of cooperatives to socio-economic development, particularly their impact on poverty reduction, employment generation and social integration.

With the theme of “Cooperative Enterprises Build a Better World”, the Year seeks to encourage the growth and establishment of cooperatives all over the world. It also encourages individuals, communities and governments to recognize the agency of cooperatives in helping to achieve internationally agreed upon development goals, such as the Millennium Development Goals.

WPDRF will be organizing an International meet on the theme of cooperative movement on 5th & 6th of December, 2012 at New Delhi.

India Pakistan Friendship Initiative At ASMS

“We are marching towards peace, friendship and harmony and will be successful one day in our mission to have cordial and strong relationship between India and Pakistan” said Awais Sheik a lawyer by profession and a writer of book ‘Samjhota Express’ at Asian School Of Media Studies, Noida.

“We are very open to such initiatives where issues of India and Pakistan friendship are discussed. International Day against Nuclear Test Discussions At WPDRF

United Nations General Assembly declared 29 August the International Day against Nuclear Tests by unanimously adopting resolution .The resolution calls for increasing awareness and education about the effects of nuclear weapon test explosions or any other nuclear explosions and the need for their cessation as one of the means of achieving the goal of a nuclear-weapon-free world.

”The Day is meant to galvanize the United Nations, Member States, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, youth networks and the media to inform, educate and advocate the necessity of banning nuclear weapon tests as a valuable step towards achieving a safer world” said Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has stated with great clarity: “A world free of nuclear weapons would be a global public good of the highest order”

First International Sufi Festival Inaugurated At Ajmer

We are planning to start a Sufi Circuit in India which will not only promote Sufism but also bring thousands of tourists to better destinations in the country” said Subodh Kant Sahay Union Minister of Tourism, Government of India while inaugurating the First International Sufi Festival at Ajmer.

“We have already developed medical tourism and the biggest tourism in India is the religious tourism. Millions of people move from one place to another for the darshans of different religious places. We need to give now more emphasis to the same” Sahay added.

“Sufism teaches us Humanity, and every religion ultimately brings back to be a good human being. Gulsha Begum the festival director expressed her desire to have many Sufi festivals in different cities of the country to unite India through Sufi Music. Global Media Summit Shaken up The Delegates From The World
