India and Oman to Collaborate in Promoting Tourism and Hospitality

New Delhi: – In a step toward fostering stronger ties and boosting tourism and hospitality between India and Oman, a significant discussion was held between Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), and Ejaz Kazi, a veteran of the tourism industry from Oman. The meeting focused on collaborative opportunities to enhance bilateral relations through tourism initiatives and cultural exchanges.

Dr. Marwah, a world record holder in the realm of film and cultural tourism and the Chancellor of AAFT University, emphasized the pivotal role tourism plays in strengthening international partnerships. He highlighted the robust contributions of the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism in promoting cultural diplomacy through academic programs and industry collaborations.

“Tourism and hospitality have always been powerful tools to bridge nations, promote mutual understanding, and create new economic opportunities,” said Dr. Marwah. “India and Oman share a rich history and cultural affinity, making this collaboration a natural step forward. Together, we can design innovative projects to enrich the tourism experiences of both nations.”

Ejaz Kazi echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Oman’s commitment to working closely with Indian institutions and experts to explore new avenues in tourism. He acknowledged Dr. Marwah’s unparalleled contributions to the media and tourism sectors and shared Oman’s vision of becoming a premier destination for global travelers.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the announcement of a planned study tour to Muscat, Oman, by students and faculty of the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism. This initiative aims to provide participants with first-hand exposure to Oman’s tourism industry, its cultural heritage, and its exemplary hospitality practices.

The tour will also serve as an opportunity to strengthen institutional collaborations, exchange ideas, and foster cross-cultural learning.

This partnership between India and Oman marks a significant milestone in building a future where tourism and hospitality act as catalysts for stronger economic and cultural relations. Later Dr Marwah presented Life Membership of International Film and Television Club of Marwah Studios to Ejaz Kazi.
