TThe mission of the International Film and Television Research Centre of AAFT (Asian Academy of Film and Television) is to foster research, analysis, and critical discourse in the field of film and television. We aim to generate knowledge, insights, and academic contributions that deepen the understanding and appreciation of the art, history, and cultural impact of films and television shows from around the world.

Encourage scholarly research :

We aim to promote and facilitate academic research on various aspects of film and television, including film theory, aesthetics, cultural studies, industry analysis, audience reception, and historical and contextual studies.

Support interdisciplinary collaboration :

We seek to foster interdisciplinary collaborations among researchers, scholars, and professionals from diverse fields such as film studies, media studies, cultural studies, sociology, psychology, and more, to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the film and television medium.
